We rented two kimonos today from Vasara and they were lovely. However, I need to warn everyone who decides to rent a kimono from here that there is a late return fee of 1.100 Yen for delay even by 1 minute. We were “surprized” with these news at the return when we were 10 min late due to the fact that there is another Vasara kimono store in the area. The taxi took us to the wrong store. So with no knowledge of this additional fee per person and without any fault we paid additionally 2200 Yen. The information shield about the late return fee was a printed sheet somewhere in the store which we were not shown at the time of the rental. So, this is an unfair practice and I would definitely choose another rental store due to this bad service. The store workers did not care about the reason for the delay so I remain under the impression of fake hospitality as long as you pay more and more for every single thing - a nicer bag, nicer belt, nicer hair accessories- everything was charged additionally.
